Professional profile
Dr. Salma Sanqoor has built a multidisciplinary career spanning healthcare, institutional leadership, training and coaching. Her professional journey began in nutrition before expanding into health education, human capital development and the design of specialised programmes and initiatives.
Her work is distinguished by translating field needs into practical initiatives—from establishing specialist nutrition services and advancing dietary practice to leading training and career guidance projects and designing coaching experiences for individuals, institutions and healthcare professionals.
Her vision is grounded in a clear belief: investing in people’s health and capabilities is the foundation of sustainable organisations and thriving communities.
Four connected pathways bring together health, people and organisational development.
The first nutritionist to head a nutrition department at regional and Ministry of Health and Prevention level. She established the first specialist nutrition clinic in Fujairah Hospital and the region, while integrating nutrition education into professional practice.
The first accredited coach and coaching trainer at regional and ministry level. She also designed and delivered a healthcare coaching programme for students at Fatima College of Health Sciences.
She led the design and implementation of the Career Guidance Programme from 2023 to 2026 under the ministry’s seven-star excellence assessment criteria, and contributed to ministry coaching and human capital development.
An accredited lecturer and trainer in nutrition, health education and dietary education, with a strong record of knowledge transfer across educational, government, local and private institutions.
